Terms of use

vocab7 keeps the words you personally ran into and brings them back until they stick. It is currently free, and it is built and run by one developer.

You need an account to use it. Keep your sign-in email secure — anyone with access to it can reach your words. One account per person. You must be at least 13 (16 in the EEA).

The words, notes and context you add belong to you. We store and process them only to run the product, as described in our privacy notice. You can export or delete them at any time by emailing us.

Definitions, examples, translations and pictures are produced automatically by language models and stock image search. They are usually good and they are sometimes wrong. Do not rely on vocab7 for anything that matters legally, medically or professionally, and please correct anything that looks off — you can edit any generated field.

Please do not script the app, add words automatically in bulk, try to exhaust our language-model budget, or use vocab7 to generate content unrelated to learning vocabulary. There are daily limits on how much automated work one account can trigger. If your account is doing something that looks like abuse we may pause it, and we will tell you why.

This is a small product without a support team or an uptime guarantee. It may be offline for maintenance, and features may change or be removed. We will give notice in the app before anything that would lose your data.

You can stop using vocab7 whenever you want and ask us to delete your account. We may close an account that breaks these terms; where we reasonably can, we will warn you first and give you a chance to export your words.

vocab7 is provided as-is, without warranties. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from using it. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by agreement.
